Harran University (website) was established in Şanlıurfa by Law No. 3,837 enacted on 9 July 1992. The university is composed of 10 Faculties, 5 Schools, 1 State Conservatory, 11 Vocational Schools, 3 Institutes, and 15 Research and Application Centers.

The university changed the logo and thus the flag.
