The former flag of the Ministry of National Education was blue (photo), or white (photo), with the ministry's emblem.
The Ministry also used a celestial blue flag (photo) with the ministry's book and torch emblem, the book inscribed with the black acronym "MEB", for "Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı".
The emblem of the ministry is a white disk charged with a white torch with black lining superimposing an open book of the same kind. The torch has a red flame. The lower half is adorned by red wreaths. The upper half has a black circumscription "T. C. Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı". The flag is flown at schools.

The White Flag (photo, photo, photo, photo, photo, photo, photo) is white with the program's emblem, made of two black stylized silhouettes of children forming the frame of a house with two blue windows and a blue door, surmounted by a red heart. The emblems of the ministries are placed at the top of the flag, Ministry of Health on the left, Ministry of National Education on the right. Beneath the program's emblem is written, in blue capital letters, the program's motto, which reads "Clean School, Healthy School".
