Heraldry:
"In an azure field with argent gear base is or head of the
bull. The emblem adorned by or decorative cartouche and crowned
by an or rural crown. The argent wall symbolizes defensive value
of strengthening at the Kyivs'ka Rus' times. An or bull head
means ancient wild bulls which were found once to Polissya and
have finally disappeared at XVII century. In national poetry bull

Heraldry:
"The annalistic data testify to the basis of this settlement
by prince Volodymyr Great at 980. Zavoryts'kyi small town entered
into Trubizh system of defensive fortresses at the ancient times.
It is known the significant role of this city as strengthenings
near Trubizh ferries in the Middle Ages. It was residence of the
polish-royal deputy and "border" princes. Since 1648 it
was cossack squadron town."
