Heraldry:
"It was confirmed by city council June, 19, 1998. A square
panel, on a dark blue background yellow figures is a 6-beam star,
under it is a half moon, above them are a vertically located
jail; from a staff and from free edge the flag has yellow strips
(width in 1/5 sides of a flag)".

Heraldry:
"It was confirmed by city council October, 4, 1995. In an
azure field is 6-beam star, under it is a half moon downwards
horns, above them is a half ring with the pointed ledge
(so-called "ostroha"); all figures are or. The author
is A.Grechylo. The arms is reconstructed by XVII century city
stamp. In its basis is modification of the arms of princes
Ostroz'ky".

The family Ostrozki is presented, together with its coat of
arms, as "the most powerful aristocratic family of the
Ukrainian middle ages".

Heraldry:
"The first mention concerns to 1100 when Kyiv congress of
Rus' princes granted Duben, Ostroh, Chortoryisk and Bus'k to
Davyd Ihorevych. From the end of XIV century it belonged to
Ostroz'ky. In 1498 the city receives the privilege on
self-management under the Magdebourg right, realization of weekly
tenders and annual fairs. At the end of XVIII century used stamp
with date "1640" and Ostroz'ky princes arm. After
disintegration of Rich Pospolyta Dubno becomes district
city".
