"It was confirmed by village council at June, 24, 1998. The
square yellow panel, from the bottom corners to middle of the top
edge goes a dark blue wedge on which the white swan with the
lifted wings is floating, on the sides on a yellow background are
black arrow tips with edge upwards. The authors are
Yu.Terlets'kyi and A.Grechylo.

Heraldry:
"It was confirmed by village council at June, 24, 1998. In
an or field is azure edge in which on a wavy argent basis is the
floating argent swan with the lifted wings. On the or sides are
sable arrow tip with edges upwards. The authors are A.Grechylo,
Yu.Terlets'kyi. The heraldic edge specifies an village sat on
heights from what deduce its name. Tips arrow mean old city, and
a swan means local nature.

"The first written mention of a settlement is known from
description Luts'k castle at 1545. In second half of XVI century
here was built the defensive castle which belonged tp Zaslavs'ky,
and Verhiv appears as city."
