"In January 24 1996 the session of the town council approved
the gonfalon: a square canvas with a ratio of 1:1. In a red field
there are white hammer, hammer and railway key. The author is
Yu.Terlets'kyi."
Phil Nelson, 7 July 1999

"wrench".

"On the 24th of January 1996 town council session
(resolution No.189) confirmed a modern emblem - in a gules field
there is an argent poll-pick and an argent hammer and a key in
cross. A poll-pick symbolizes the name of the town (from the word
"dovbyt" meaning "to thump").The hammer and
the key symbolize a railway and building industry. Gules and
argent colors symbolize Volyn'."
