Description of the flag

The flag of the Borough of Haddonfield, New Jersey, is blue with the borough seal as a golden application on it. The seal shows a lady (probably Elizabeth Haddon) addressing to two Indians (probably Lenape). "BOROUGH OF HADDONFIELD / CAMDEN CO. N.J." around. Photo of the flag thanks to Deanna Bennett, Borough Clerk.

About the borough:
"Haddonfield is a borough located in Camden County, New Jersey. As of the United States 2000 Census, the borough had a total population of 11,659. Haddonfield was incorporated by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 6, 1875, within portions of Haddon Township, based on the results of a referendum held that same day. The borough separated from Haddon Township as an independent municipality in 1894." - from Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haddonfield,_New_Jersey.

The conjecture about the seal is definitely correct. See www.levins.com/ik6.html:
"Her enduring relationships with these native people was such an important part of her life that it is still memorialized as the very symbol of the town she founded. Today, Haddonfield's official municipal seal (above, right) depicts Mrs. Haddon-Estaugh meeting with a group of her Lenape friends."

And the illustration of the seal on that page does show the inscription as you describe. Note that the font size for the first part is slightly larger than that of the second- at least on the seal used here. I can't tell whether or not that applies to the seal as used on the flag.
