The flag of McKeesport is a blue field with the seal in the middle. The
entire seal is golden outlined in red, with an exception for the text which it's
colored in only red.
This is the second flag McKeesport has adopted, it's
adoption date is unknown.

The seal consists of two roped rings. In between the two rings from the clock
angle of around 9:15 to 2:45 clockwise is the city's name. The only letter that
is lower-case is the c in McKeesport, this is because most places with "Mc" in
front of a name doesn't change the capitalization of the first letter after the
Mc. such as McDowell or McDonald. From 7:30 to 4:30 counterclockwise is the
state's name. inside of the second ring from 10:30 to 1:30 clockwise is the text
"FOUNDED 1795" the year McKeesport was officially a settlement. From 9:15 to
2:45 counterclockwise is the incorporation date which is January 15, 1891. In
the center of the seal is a golden device which is made of a cog, a lug wrench,
and a wreath. This most likely represented the industrial revolution around the
Pittsburgh area during the 20th century. The seal is blue and white with the
exception of the founding date which are in red.

I found an stamp which contains a possible first flag. It uses a blue field like the current one. However it appears to use coat of arms like device which dates from around the 1920s, which means the flag might have also came from the 1920s.The device is two white banners with golden edges. The top banner has longer ends then the bottom banner. The top banner says the city's name while the bottom banner is inscribed with the state's name. In between the two banners is the cog device which is still used The difference is that the wreath covers the entire wrench instead of the wrench overlaying the wreath. It also contains a white background that the cog and wrench overlay.

According to City Flags of Pennsylvania, the first flag of McKeesport was designed by a resident named R.W.
Cunliffe. He added a gear wheel of industry in the center and two steel tubes
which represented a tube mill from the city. The same official adoption also
designated a "steel projectile" as a finial. Of course, this flag was also
adopted for the Jamestown Exposition of 1907, where Pennsylvania cities were
asked to adopt flags by its commission to add to it. The resolution was passed
November 11, 1907, but not actually approved until November 12, 1907 by the
Select and Common Councils of McKeesport.

The photo of the police flag shows that the rope ring is inverse of the rope
ring on the city flag.
