I noticed last year that Riverton began flying a new flag. I got online to
find out more, but there was nothing about it at all. I've checked a few times
since then, and there still has been no announcement from the city or anything.
To be fair, there's nothing online about the old flag either. I was only able to
find one image online of each. Fortunately the logos are online and are pretty
good quality and both the old and new flags are just the logo on a bedsheet.
I recreated the flags by sight, so the dimensions and proportions probably
aren't accurate.
I do not know when the old flag was adopted. The new
flag was likely adopted in April of 2018 when the new logo was revealed. The
police flag is brand new as the Riverton police department only formed in July
of this year after breaking off from the county unified police force.
The building in the new logo and the police insignia is the Old Dome Meeting
Hall, which despite the name was built in 2015. It is definitely the most unique
building in the city.
