Introduction: The Saints Franchise

The New Orleans Saints are an American professional team representing the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, since 1966. They play in the National Football Conference (NFC) South division, part of the National Football League (NFL). The Saints played their home games in Tulane Stadium between 1967-1974, but moved to the new finished Mercedes-Benz Superdome in 1975 where they played until 2004 and Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and much of the Gulf Coast region. The Mercedes-Benz Superdome, although damaged, was used as an emergency temporary shelter for displaced residents leaving the Saints without a home field. In the 2005 season they played temporarily in the Tiger Stadium (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) for four games, the Alamodome (San Antonio, Texas) for three games, and in the New York Giants Stadium for one game. In 2006 they moved back into the repaired Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
The early years for the Saints were dismal, but their fans refused to give up on them. It wouldn't be until 1987, almost twenty years later, that they would even have their first winning season and qualify for the NFL playoffs, which they lost in the first round. In 2000, the Saints returned to the playoffs and defeated the St. Louis Rams for their first-time-ever playoff win, but then lost in the next round. In 2006, they won their second playoff win before once again failing to advance. Finally, in 2009 their faithful fan's patience paid off, for the Saints won 13 games and advanced through the playoffs to play in Super Bowl XLIV, where they defeated the AFC champion Indianapolis Colts 31-17. As of the 2016 season, this remains the only Super Bowl game and divisional championships that they have ever won.
Note: Be aware that there are a host of manufacturer's variants of these and other fan flags being marketed for "Saints" fans. This includes garden flags, banners, and pennants.

New Orleans "Stars and Stripes" Flags

The first fan flag is a popular design used by many NFL teams, naturally in the proper team colors and with the team logos in the canton.
The second is an interesting variant of the American national flag where in the canton the white stars of the national flag were replaced with 50 gold Fleur-de-lis, on a black field instead of blue. Naturally the 13 red and white stripes in the fly have been replaced with in the colors of New Orleans.

Yet another New Orleans "Stars and Stripes" variant. This time with both stars and logo in the canton and 13 stripes of black and gold.

The flag derived from the USA national flag with fleurs-de-lys instead of the stars has another variant, with the stripes in black and gold only. Its photo taken in 2015 in Atlanta, GA, where it was used by the refugees from New Orleans after the Katrina hurricane. (source) (image) Another photo, taken in New Orleans in 2017, has the black color erroneously described as blue - when zoomed in, it was revealed to be black, clearly different from dark blue which is found in several other flags in the same photo, including the flag with three fleurs-de-lys which is hoisted next to it. Another flag with the Stars and Stripes design is presented here: https://www.worthpoint.com. On this variant, the fleur-de-lys is black, with the borders in white (innermost), old gold and black (outermost), placed over a black canton with white stars, while the stripes are in black and white; the black border of the logo is actually merged with the field of the canton.

These House Divided flags are designed for families with divided loyalties. They are available for many combinations of NFL teams and their fans. This apparently for a family with loyalties to both the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers.
