The statute (at http://cisv.it/verde/presentazione.html) defines in Art. 15 the symbols:
"Articolo 15. "

III National Convention of the CISV (Florence, June 1, 1997)

[CISV convention 3 cockade] image provided by CISV, 14 January 2018

The 1997 rosette (http://www.cisv.it/coccar3.gif) consisted instead of a yellow-green ribbon with two tricolor ribbon tails". This one was also made by Wanda Ziggioto. The cockades ended involuntarily to characterize the different editions of our meetings. In fact, Ms. Ziggioto recalls that, in packaging them, she did not think of a specific symbol for the conference, but a simple badge for CISV members, on the theme of social colors. There were three different rosettes because there was no official model.

The Lucchese shield houses the emblem of the association, almost symbolizing the welcoming of the city towards the convention.

The flag (http://www.cisv.it/viola/lucca11flag.gif) is the civic flag of the host city, which was chosen to represent the conference, "charged" by a branch of ivy that extends along the dividing line between white and red. Just the ivy, a sign of hope and attachment, is the symbol of CISV. The branch has seventeen leaves, as many as the editions of the conferences. In the year of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, the green of the leaves completes the trio of national colors.

XVIII National Convention of the CISV 2012 (Bollate, May 26-27, 2012)

[CISV convention 6 flag] image provided by CISV, 14 January 2018

The flag (http://www.cisv.it/viola/boll12flag.gif) is inspired by that of the province of Milan: along the inference is placed the album vexillum cum cruce rubeum colorem habens, the municipality's motto since the thirteenth century, here loaded in the canton of the biscione of the Visconti. On the fly stands the golden eagle in a golden field, the protagonist of the Visconti banners since the fourteenth century when the lords of Milan obtained the Vicariate from the Empire. And on all these symbols that recall the history of Milan, the emblem of the CISV.
