Metis in Alberta (outside of the Metis Settlements) are organized in local councils. McMurray Metis are Metis Local 1935 of Fort McMurray and Northeast Alberta, founded in 1987.

The flag is a red ensign with a blue canton bearing a white infinity symbol, and the badge on the fly.
