The flag of Mombuca is presented on the Símbolos Municipais
Brasileiros blog as yellow with a blue, off-centered cross. Over the
intersection of the cross' arms is placed a blue octagon charged with
a yellow bee.

The municipal website provides the explanation of the flag but no complete description. The image of the flag is missing, too.
Yellow is a symbol of prosperity, glory, nobleness, splendour, power, force, faith and wealth. It represents the inextinguishable Christian faith of the people and its commitment to work for prosperity and glory. The cross highlights the deep Christian faith of the people. Blue is a symbol of justice, loyalty, nobleness, perseverance, zeal and loyalty. The bee is a symbol of labour. It also makes the flag canting, the town being named for the mombuca bee*.
The coat of arms of Mombuca is prescribed by Municipal Law No. 139 of 14 March 1972, as "A rounded-off shield in classic Portuguese style, per fess 1. Azure a mombuca bee* argent, 2. Vert a fess wavy argent. The shield surmounted by an eight-towered mural crown argent ports sable. The shield supported dexter by a branch of coffee and sinister by a sugarcane the two proper. Beneath the shield a scroll azure inscribed with the motto 'FIDE ET LABOR" [Faith and Labour] in letters or".

I assume that the disk usually found on municipal flags of that design
was replaced by an hexagon to symbolize a honey cell.
