On 1 January 2013 the new commune of Haute-Sorne was formed through the merger of Bassecourt,
Courfaivre, Glovelier, Soulce and Undervelier (see below).
The new commune uses a logo instead of a flag and CoA (website).
Or three Piles in fess shortened Sable.

The image above shows the correct flag of Bassecourt based after the coat of arms as they appear on the
website of Bassecourt at http://www.bassecourt.ch. Mr. Stadelmann,
former communal secretary of Bassecourt, reports that the armorial of Bernese Jura edited in 1952 shows a
wrong version of the coat of arms (see image below). Mr. Stadelmann finds it sad that the commune didn't
intervene when the book was edited.

The emblem shows the seal image of the short living Rauracian Republic (République rauracienne).
