Introduction

Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) was the official labour service of the Third Reich. Its history actually began in 1931 when the voluntary Freiwilliger Arbeitsdienst (FAD) was founded. When Hilter came to power it was renamed Nationalsozialist-Arbeitsdienst (NSAD) and in 1934 it was renamed RAD and a six month service was made compulsory.
Marcus Wendel, 1999

A flat image (suitable for giffers) is located about 2/5 down on the Germania International page. No idea about the flag colours, although I can guess. Part of caption follows:

"The RADwJ was the Weiblichen Jugend and was the woman's (female youth) section of the RAD - Reichsarbeitdienst - National Labor Service. Girls entered the RAD from the BDM (Bund Deutscher Mädel) and after completing a six-month period of service they were normally released. Their tasks included being workers as auxiliary agricultural labor force, service and hospitals, and schools to help maintain the public utilities and transportation systems. It was a necessary function to the National Socialist system and a great patriotism and morale builder for the young ladies." The Direct link to photo from album shows girls saluting the flag. I should add that this organization already existed when the Nazis came to power.
