Simbach Coat of Arms

Renaissance shield enhanced parted by a fess wavy Sable with wavelets of Azure and Argent, above Sable a 6-point star Or, beneath lozengy of Argent and Azure.
Meaning:
The lozengy partition displays the complete 21 lozenges of the Bavarian arms, however differentiated as barry-sinister bendy. The fess wavy is a canting element, representing the name giving creek (German: Bach). Its colour changed various times, it had been completely blue and completely white as well. A market seal from 1572 displayed the arms in a Renaissance shield with two angels as supporters. Hans Mielich (1558) and Philipp Apian (1568) painted seven wavy rays on a red shield under a lozengy chief. The arms were referring to the meaning "Siebenbach" (= 7 creeks).
