Leinefelde-Worbis Coat of Arms

It is a silver shield, charged with an embattled, red pale; charged with a silver pallet wavy, parted thrice per pale wavy.
Meaning:
The colours red and white (= silver) are those of the Electorate and Archbishopric of Mainz, to which the Eichsfeld region belonged. The pallet wavy is symbolising the little rivers Wipper in the East and Leine in the West of the city. The former has its fountain in Worbis, the latter in Leinefelde and is thus the name giver of Leinefelde. The embattled pale is symbolising the local castles Bodenstein and Scharfenstein.

Presentation of Leinefelde-Worbis

On 16 March 2004 the cities Leinefelde and Worbis and the municipalities Beuren (incorporated to Leinefelde in 2000), Birkungen, Breitenbach (incorporated to Leinefelde in 1992), Kaltohmfeld, Kirchohmfeld and Wintzingerode formed the city of Leinefelde-Worbis. All municipalities not mentioned within this page had no proper banner.

he shield is red, charged with a silver tower, roofed and embattled, flanked by two bunches of seven silver oak leaves. In base is a silver 6-spoked wheel.
Meaning:
The wheel is representing the Electorate and Archishopric of Mainz, the oak leaves the Eichsfeld region.

The shield is parted per pale into red and silver. At dexter a silver base, crowned by a silver church tower. At sinister a green base crowned by a green linden tree.
Meaning:
The linden tree is probably canting, representing the suffix "-holz" (literally "wood").

Hundeshagen Coat of Arms

The red shield is divided by a golden chevron, above right is a silver 6-spokes wheel. Above left is a silver harp stringed black. Beneath are three silver bells lined black and ordered 1:2.
Meaning:
The harp is representing the numerous choirs and orchestras in the municipality in the past, especially the village was famous for its harp orchestras. It is also alluding to the production of musical instruments. Former seals displayed a violin, crossed with a trumpet and a flute. Chevron and bells are representing an open belfry, separated from the local church. The wheel is representing the Archbishops of Mainz, the former rulers.

Kallmerode Coat of Arms

The shield is silver, semy of green oak leaves. The main charge id St. Martin, riding a black horse, nimbed golden, dressed in golden clad armour, robed green and red, dividing his red coat by a silver sword hilted gold, before him is a kneeling beggar, bearded and dressed just with green trousers.
Meaning:
The oak leaves are symbolising the Eichsfeld region. St. Martin is the local patron saint.

Leinefelde Coat of Arms

The shield is tierced pallwise; above right red charged with a sinister facing, silver lamb; above left silver charged with a staff entwined around by two plants, accompanied by an oak leave and an acorn, all charges are green; in base blue charged with three impending, silver barrulets wavy.
Meaning:
The lamb is symbolising the local fur trading in the past. Staff and plants, mustard and flax, are symbolising the local industries, based on those plants. The form like a caduceus is symbolising trade. Acorn and leaf are symbolising the Eichsfeld (Engl.: field of oaks) region. The barrulets wavy are symbolising the fountain of Leine river.

Worbis Coat of Arms

The shield is parted per fess into red over golden. Above is a silver 6-spoked wheel, beneath three red "dwarf bars".
Meaning:
The local seal displayed until 1953 three golden bars in a red field, which were changed into mere horizontal red lines in 1993. Those "dwarf bars" are alluding to the Counts of Beichlingen, local rulers in the 13th century. The wheel is alluding to the confirmation of city rights in 1682 by the Archbishops of Mainz.
