Shield Gules, a bend sinister Argent, above right a sheaf Or consisting of nine ears, beneath left a parchment Or.
Meaning:
The arms are derived from those of the namesake municipality. Only the background colour was changed from green to red. And the ear was replaced by a sheaf. Each ear is representing one of the municipalities of Dörpen Comprehensive Municipality.

Shield parted per fess wavy of Gules and Or,issuant from base a linden in counterchanged colours, accompanied in base at dexter by a key Gules in pale and at sinister by a sheaf Gules.
Meaning:
The linden is the 1000-years-linden of Heede, known as Giant Linden of Heede, at least 600 years old. The scope of its stem is more than 15 meters, its height 20 meters and the diameter of its treetop about 35 meters. The key is an attribute of St. Peter, the local patron saint. The sheaf is symbolising the rural character.

Shield Gules, a set of windmill vanes Or in saltire, in chief a cross patty Or, in base a gain ear Or.
Meaning:
The grain ear is symbolising the rural character of the municipality. The set of vanes is representing the local Dutch windmill, built in 1860, shut down in 1937 and restored in 1981. The cross is representing the local parish church, built in 1843. Emperor Karl der Große was replaced as local patron saint by St. Batholomew in 1929. Wippingen (-Ost) was first mentioned in 1534. The western and eastern part belonged to diffenrent parishes in the past and both villages were united in 1939.
