Germering Coat of Arms

On the base is a green triple mount. Above the shield is divided per pale into red and silver. On the dexter side is a silver (= white) church tower issuant. On the sinister side is a red, rampant lion.
Meaning:
Germering gained city rights in 1991. The church tower, distinct from most other Bavarian villages' church towers is representing the former municipality of Germering and was taken from the former arms. The lion is representing the former municipality of Unterpfaffenhofen, which had been incorporated in 1978 and is alluding to the nobility families of Huefnagel and Chlingensperg, who owned large estates in the area in the 17th and 18th century. The triple mount is a canting element and representing the Parsberg, a local mountain.
