In the centre of the red shield are two golden (= yellow) pilgrim's staffs, crossed per saltire. Above is a scallop, below acoronet, both are also golden (= yellow). The shield has a bordure of blue and silver (= white), divided by a nebula line (though the clouds in source look more like rounded hammers).
Meaning:
Until 30 April 1979 the name of the municipality was simply Immenstaad. The oldest known seal of Immenstaad displayed St. Jodocus as pilgrim with a coronet at his feet. He was later replaced by his attributes. The bordure is taken from the Fürstenberg arms and alludes to the fact that Immenstaad belonged to the Lordship of Heiligenberg, a dominion of Fürstenberg, from 1783 to 1806, and under the sovereignty of Baden again from 1824 to 1842.
