Pinzberg Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a tower Argent flanked by two walls of the same masoned Sable, mantled Or, at dexter a trefoil Sable, at sinister a cornflower blossom Sable.
Meaning:
Pinzberg consists of the settlement cores of Dobenreuth, Elsenberg, Gosberg and Pinzberg proper. The tower is a landmark of Pinzberg and alluding to the local church spire with four levels It is also the gate tower of the fortified local graveyard from the 15th century. The red section is representing Gosberg and is also a symbol of the Holy Trinity, to which the local church is dedicated.The trefoil is representing Dobenreuth and symbolising the rare patronage of the Holy Family. The cornflower (Latin: Centaurea cyanus) is representing Elsenberg and its rural character.The golden and black tinctures are taken from the arms of the Archbishopric of Bamberg. In 1062 great portions of the common area of the current municipality had been donated to the archbishopric by German King Heinrich IV.
