Wiesenttal Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules a key Argent in bend sinister, at sinister Argent an ammonite Gules, base quartered of Argent and Sable.
Meaning:
Wiesental was established by a merger of Muggendorf market town with the municipalities of Albertshof, Engelhardsberg, Oberfellendorf and Streitberg in 1972. The quartered base is referring to the former sovereignty of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Bayreuth. The key displays the arms of the Schlüsselberg kin. The ammonite is taken from the former arms of Muggendorf Market Town and is referring to the many ammonites, which had been found in the area.

Muggendorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter quartered of Argent and Sable, at sinister Gules an ammonite Or.
Meaning:
Since 1811 a local seal displaying many details was considered to be the coat of arms. It was however not suitable to become a coat of arms. (the 1892 version see: here. The current arms are based on a recommendation from 1937. The quartered shield is referring to the former sovereignty of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Bayreuth. The ammonite is referring to the many ammonites, which had been found in the area.
