Marzling Coat of Arms

Shield Or with base wavy Azure, charged with a fess wavy Or, issuant from base an upper demi-millwheel Gules, in chief an impending coronet Gules with gemstones Azure.
Meaning:
The base wavy is representing the rivers Isar and Moosach. The wheel is rpresenting the local watermill, which had been first mentioned in 1138 and was working until the 20th century. The space between the spokes is golden on arms but red on flag. Furthermore there had been watermills in Hangenham and Rudlfing. The red coronet is a differentiation of the negroe's coronet in the arms of the Bishopric of Freising. The village had been a possession of the cathedral in Freising since 804 and remained a district (Bavarian: Hofmark) of the bishopric from the middle of the 12th century until 1803, when the bishopric was secularised.
