Jettingen-Scheppach Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, above a wolf trap Sable, beneath three eagle´s claws Gules in triangle.
Meaning:
The claws are taken from the family arms of the Lords of Scheppach, who lived in the namesake village during the 12th and 13th century. They had been also part of the arms of the former municipality of Scheppach. The wolf trap is taken from the family arms of the Barons of Stain, who ruled Jettingen since 1469. It had also been part of the municipal arms of Jettingen from the 17th century.

Freihalden Coat of Arms

Shield Argent a lion passant Azure, armed and tongued Gules and holding an inescutcheon Sable, charged with an annulet Argent, by his forepaws.
Meaning:
Freihalden had been a fiefdom of the Bishopric of Augsburg. Vassals of the bishopric had been the Knöringen kin, represented by the white annulet on black and the Barons Schenk of Stauffenberg. The lion is a differentiation of their family arms. The tinctures red and white had been those of the bishopric.
