Blaufelden Municipal Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
In a blue shield is a farmer, dressed in a beige robe and hat, throwing black seeds to the ground out of silver (= white) cloth fixed at one of his shoulders. According to Stadler 1971 robe, hat and seeds should be golden (= yellow) and the farmer should wear red shoes. The base of the shield is quarterly divided into silver (= white) and black.
Meaning:
Blaufelden originally was part of the Lordship of Werdeck, which belonged to Hohenlohe. Later the Counts (Burggrafen) of Nürnberg from the Zollern kin gained the village. Their title changed into Margraves of Ansbach-Brandenburg. In 1401 they granted market rights. The meaning of the farmer is not known, but probably he is alluding to the rural character. The base displays the arms of the Zollern kin.

According to Stefan Schwoon the banner was adopted between 1950 and 1960. In 1575 Margrave Georg Friedrich of Ansbach granted the arms to the village.
