Gaiberg Coat of Arms

Shield Argent with base vert, standing on base a tree Vert stemmed Sable, at sinister a pillar Gules. On old coat of arms the pillar and the stem had been brown.
Meaning:
The village belonged to the Bishopric of Worms and was bought by thePalatine Counts of Rhine in 1419. It remained their possession until 1802/1803, when it became a possession of the Margraviate of Baden. The arms are based on a court seal from 1764. The tinctures had been "natural colours" from 1900 until the 1960ies, when the current tinctures were introduced. The pillar is representing the so called "long stone", standing beside a linden tree. Origin and meaning of the pillar are unknown.

The arms were adopted by the municipality in 1900. The banner was approved on 29 December 1956 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg acc. to source, acc. to Stefan Schwoon on 4 March 1957, published in GABl 143/1957.
