It is a red - white vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is shifted to the top.

Hirschberg Coat of Arms

The shield is divided per pale into silver (= white) and red. The white field is divided by a blue fess wavy. Above is a red apple issuant, barbed green. Below is the black, zodiacal sign of aries. On the sinister side is a silver (= white), upright attire.
Meaning:
In 1975 the municipalities of Großsachsen and Leutershausen merged. The name of the new municipality was taken from a castle located above Leutershausen. The dexter side is representing Großsachsen. Apple and fess wavy are symbolizing the Äpfelbach (apple creek). The meaning of the aries is not known. All charges already appeared on local seals since 1617. The sinister side is representing Leutershausen and displays the arms of the Lords of Leutershausen, in use since 1611, and since 1961 also coat of arms of the former municipality.
