Shield Vert a bar 10-fold chequered of Argent and Gules, in chief two salt hooks Argent in saltire, in base a plough share Argent.
Meaning:
The arms are a combination of elements from the arms of the single municipalities. The salt hooks are representing Grasleben proper, the Cistercian bar Mariental and the plough share is symbolising the rural character of Querenhorst and Rennau.

Grasleben Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, a bend sinister Vert, charged with a salt hook Argent.
Meaning:
The arms are displaying a salt hook, symbol for the historical salt mining in the municipality. The green colour is somehow canting, referring to grass (German: Gras). The arms were approved on 2 July 1963.

Mariental Coat of Arms

Shield Azure a bar 10-fold chequered of Argent and Gules, in chief two croziers Or in saltire.
Meaning:
Both charges refer to the local Cistercian monastery, which had been founded in 1138 by Palatine Count Friedrich II of Sommerschenburg. In 1179 it became a possession of Heinrich the Lion from the Welfen kin. The monastery was dissolved in 1569. The pattern of the bar with different numbers of rectangles is known as "Cistercian bar". Blue and yellow had been the colours of Braunschweig.

Shield Or, a chevron reversed Azure, in chief a hare's head caboshed Azure.
Meaning:
The charges are canting for the name of the area around the three villages in the municipality, Hasenwinkel, or hare's angle. Especially the chevron is symbolising the angle (German: Winkel).
