Crock Coat of Arms

Shield Sable hammer and mallet Argent in saltire chapé Or, charged with a crosslet issuant Sable flanked by two impending pawns of the same.
Meaning:
The cross is symbolising the local parish church of St. Vitus, which is located on a hill. The two chess pawns are symbolising the traditional woodcarving and the local wood industry. The black colour and the tools are symbolising coal mining in the area until 1949.

Oberland Coat of Arms

Shield enhanced parted per fess invected, above Or issuant from a barrulet invected Vert four linden leaves of the same, beneath Argent.
Meaning:
Oberland had been an ephemeral municipality, which was established on 23 March 1993 by a merger of Brattendorf, Merbelsrod, Poppenwind and Schwarzbach. The municipality was dissolved and became a part of Auengrund on 1 January 1996 together with the former municipalities of Crock and Wiedersbach. The line of partition is symbolising the hilly landscape, in which the municipality is located. The four hills and four linden leaves are symbolising the four villages in the municipality. In all four villages a linden tree stands on the main square.
