Döhlau Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, a triskelion Argent made of legs in armour surrounded by three fleur-de-lis of the same, chief Argent a fess embattled Sable.
Meaning:
Döhlau was established in 1978 by a merger of Döhlau proper, Kautendorf and Tauperlitz. The triskelion is taken from the family arms of the Lords of Rabenstein, who acquired their first possessions in Tauperlitz in 1398. Döhlau Castle had been their ancestral seat until 1643. They donated the castle church in 1445, where many family members from the 17th century are buried. The fleur-de-lis are taken from the family arms of the Lords of Pühel, who succeded the Rabenstein kin since 1652. The embattled fess is taken from the family arms of the Lords of Uttenhofen, who owned Tauperlitz Estate in the 14th century. The embattlements are also representing the ancient fortification walls in Taupelitz und Kautendorf.
