Karlsdorf-Neuthard Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Or an oar and a boathook in saltire, superimposed by a chalice, all charges Sable, at sinister Azure a duck rising Argent armed Or.
Meaning:
Chalice, oar and boathook are taken from the arms of the former municipality of Karlsdorf. The duck is taken from the arms of the former municipality of Neuthard. Both municipalities merged on 1 January 1975. The merger was published in GABl 801/1974.

Karlsdorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Or an oar and a boathook in saltire, superimposed by a chalice, all charges Sable, at sinister Azure with base Vert, a horse forcene Argent.
Meaning:
The dexter half is the coat of arms of Dettenheim, which was depopulated in 1813 due to Rhine floodings. The inhabitants moved to Altenbürg manor. The horse forcene is taken from the old arms of the manor. The base was added after the merger. Name giver of the new village was Grand Duke Karl of Baden.
