Shield Argent, a farmer issuant with coat Azure, waistcoat Gules, trousers and cocked hat Sable, holding two stalked grain ears Or in saltire by his right hand, at sinister an impending 5-point star Gules, chief Azure charged with three fleur-de-lis Argent in fess.
Meaning:
Pressig since 1978 consists of the former municipalities Welitsch, Eila, Prosseck, Grössau, Marienroth, Brauersdorf, Rothenkichen, Friedersdorf, Förtschendorf and Pressig proper. The arms unite elements form the former municipal arms of Pressig, Rothenkirchen, Marienroth, Förtschendorf and Welitsch. The farmer is a modification from the arms of Rothenkirchen. The star is referring to the Lords of Würtzburg, the most important manorial lords in the past. It also appeared in the former arms of Pressig. The fleur-de-lis are taken from the arms of Förtschendorf, Marienroth und Welitsch. They are also an attribute of St. Mary, patron saint of Förtschendorf and name giver of Marienroth and an attribute of St. Anne, patron saint of Welitsch. The ears are stressing the rural character and are representing Eila, Prosseck, Grössau, Brauersdorf and Friedensdorf.
The old arms of Pressig were parted per fess, above Sable a winged wheel Argent, referring to the railway, and beneath Or a facetted 5-point star Gules, taken from the family arms of the Lords of Würtzburg.

Rothenkirchen Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, a farmer issuant with coat Azure waistcoat Gules, socks Argent, shoes, trousers and cocked hat Sable, standing on a mount issuant Vert and holding two stalked grain ears Or in saltire by his right hand,
Meaning:
Rothenkirchen belonged to the Bishopric of Bamberg until 1358 and again from 1688 until 1803. It gained the rights of a market town in 1377. The arms are based on a town seal from 1718. The use of proper seals was permitted in 1819, but the town stopped using the seal since 1880. The farmer is a symbol of the Franconian yeomen and appeared on various local seals. Otto Hupp introduced the typical Franconian traditional costume for the farmer.
