Shield parted per fess; above parted per pale, at dexter chequered of Gules and Argent, at sinister Argent two maces Gules in saltire; beneath Azure two fleur-de-lis Argent stemmed of the same in saltire.

Meaning:
Burkardroth was established in 1972 by a merger of Burkardroth, Frauenroth, Gefäll, Katzenbach, Lauter, Oehrberg, Stralsbach, Waldfenster, Wollbach and Zahlbach. The lilies in saltire are taken from the arms of the Cistercian Frauenroth Nunnery. Otto Count of Botenlauben-Henneberg sold his possessions in 1231 to the Bishopric of Würzburg and founded the nunnery, which was secularised in 1574, in 1234. The chequered quarter is taken from the family arms of the counts and might be interpreted as a Cistercian symbol as well. The maces are taken from the family arms of the Lebenhan-Rotenkolben kin. Its members had been chief foresters of the bishopric. The quarter is representing all settlements in the Salt Forest, established by forest clearance.
