Weng Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess; above parted per pale, at dexter paly of seven of Argent and Azure, at sinister Azure a chalice Argent; in base Argent a linden leaf issuant Gules.
Meaning:
The lower half displays the arms of the Hermstorfer kin, actually the pattern displays a spade of a game of cards in red. The family owned the three local districts (Bavarian: Hofmarken) of Wend, Hinzlbach and Hörmannsdorf in the 15th century, the latter probably since the 13th century. The upper dexter half, also blazoned as Argent three pales Azure, displays the arms of the Counts of Seinsheim. The family owned castle and district of Weng in the 18th century. The arms are also known by a copper engraving of Michael Wening from 1723. The chalice is an attribute of St. Barbara, the local patron saint of Hörmannsdorf.
