Weihmichl Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, in chief a pair of scales Argent, in dexter base a fleur-de-lis Or, in sinister base a lion rampant guardant double queued Argent.
Meaning:
The scales are an attribute of St. Michael (Bavarian: Weih Michl), the local patron saint. They are thus canting. The fleur-de-lis is an attribute of St. Mary and is representing the local pilgrimage dedicated to her and is alluding to the fact that the Cistercian Seligenthal Nunnery had been the manorial lord in Stollnried, which was inorporated in 1972 into Neuhausen. The lion is taken from the arms of the Counts of Lodron, who ruled the Unterneuhausen district (Bavarian: Hofmark) including Oberneuhausen from around 1650 until 1781. Count Hieronymus Maria of Lodron rebuilt the parish church of Unterneuhausen around 1770. The tinctures blue and silver are those of the Wittelsbach kin, who ruled the village as Dukes of Bayern-Landshut and Electors of Bayern.
