Maikammer Coat of Arms

Shield Sable an arrow Or in pale, in base crossed by a horizontal line of the same.
Meaning:
Probably the arms are derived from the cross patty on the arms of the Bishopric of Speyer, to which the village historically belonged. The sign appears on local court seals in a shield since the 17th century, reversed at the beginning, as nowadays since 1743, on a shield crested with a coronet. The current tinctures are based on a painting of Otto Hupp (1928), referring to tinctures of the Palatine Electorate, although blue and white, the tinctures of the bshopric would have been correct.

The banner probably has never been approved officially. The arms were confirmed in 1937 by governor (Reichsstatthalter) in Bayern.

Sankt Martin Coat of Arms

Shield Azure with chief dancetty Or, a mounted rider proper dividing his coat Gules by his sword, under the chief flanked by two impending fleur-de-lis Argent, on central base point an inescutcheon Argent charged with a horseshoe Sable.
Meaning:
The basic tinctures are taken from the family arms of the Barons of Dalberg. The blue field of their arms had been semy of silver fleur-de-lis. The horseshoe is taken from a local seal from the 18th century, which displayed only the horseshoe. The rider is St. Martin, the local patron saint. He was added in 1952 as a distinguishing mark due to the many horseshoes in other municipal arms.
