It is a blue - white - blue vertical triband. The coat of arms is shifted to the top.

Brunnthal Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The blue shield is divided by a silver (= white) pale, which is flanked by a golden (= yellow) crozier (dexter) and an attire of the same colour (sinister).
Meaning:
The pale is symbolizing the ancient Roman highway from Augsburg to Salzburg passing the municipality. The crozier is an attribute of St. Nicolas, the patron saint of the local parish church. It is also alluding to the monasteries of Rott, Weihenstephan and Schäftlarn.Their abbots had benn local rulers until 1803. The attire is representing the forest of Hofolding, the hunting ground of the Bavarian dukes since the early Middle Ages. The colours underline the close connections with the Wittelsbach kin.
