Schwindegg Coat of Arms

Azure, a manor-house with two onion-shaped towers Argent, under two beech leaves in saltire point downwards Or.
Meaning:
The manor-house is a representation of the local moated castle. It had been the centre of the district from the 14th until the 19th century and was the seat of various kins of noblemen as a.o. Fraunhofen, Pappenheim, Haunsperg, Wittelsbach, Fugger. The current version of the castle was built between 1594 and 1615 by Sebastian of Haunsperg and is considered to be one of the most impressing Renaissance buildings in Upper Bavaria (Oberbayern). The crossed leaves are taken from the arms of the former Walkersach municipality. Its biggest part now belongs to Schwindegg. The leaves are taken from the family arms of the Barons of Puech. The tinctures blue and silver are those of Bayern.

The arms were approved on 8 August 1977 and the banner on 19 January 1987 by district governor (Regierungspräsident) of Oberbayern.
