Neunkirchen Coat of Arms

Shield quartered, 1st quarter parted per bend of Or and Gules, 2nd quarter Gules a coronet fleury Argent, 3rd quarter Or a heraldic rose Gules seeded Or and barbed Argent, 4th quarter bendy of six of Gules and Argent.
Meaning:
The 1st quarter displays the arms of the Lords of Wildenstein, local rulers and manorial lords in the past. The coronet fleury is a combination of attributes, fleur-de-lis and crown, of St. Mary, patron saint of the church of Neunkirchen. The tinctures red and white are those of the Bishopric of Bamberg, to which Neunkirchen ecclesiastically belonged. The red rose is the symbol of the Cupbearers of Reicheneck, commissionaires of the bishopric in the 14th century. The 4th quarter displays the sinister half of the lesser arms of the Free Imperial City of Nürnberg, to which the villages of the municipality historically belonged.
