Description of flag:
It is an armourial flag (banner of arms). It is a green - white - green vertical triband with ratio approx. 1:2:1. In the white stripe seven red, half-timbered farmhouses are surrounding a red fleur de lis.
Meaning:
The green colour is symbolising the early woods. The village was created by forest clearance. The houses are symbolising the seven historical acres (Hufen), which formed the village. The fleur de lis is an attribute of St. Mary. Virgin Mary and Mary Magdalen had been the patron saints of a nuns' monastery in nearby Reinbek, to which the village belonged since 1310. When the monastery had been secularized in 1528 it became a property of the dukes of Holstein. The colours red and white are those of Holstein. Reißmann 1997, p.100

The flag was approved on 17 June 1997. The coat of arms was approved on 15 March 1989. The artist is Renate Böttger from Stapelfeld.

Brunsbek Municipal Coat of Arms

The shield is divided by a silver (= white), biconcave fess into blue over red. Above is a silver (= white) flying crane. Below is a window rosette of the same colour.
Meaning:
Brunsbek was generated in 1974, then the municipalities of Langelohe, Kronshorst and Papendorf merged. The concave fess is representing Langelohe, which is a long glade. The crane (Lower German: Kron) is representing Kronshorst. The church window is representing Papendorf, which means clerics' village.

Hoisdorf Municipality

Description of flag:
The yellow flag is bordered by narrow green stripes on the top and bottom edges. In the yellow stripe at the hoist is a green, rooted linden tree flanked by a black plough share towards the hoist and a black gear having 16 cogs towards the flyend..
Meaning:
The colours are symbolising agriculture and fertility. The plough share is symbolising farming, the gear industry and crafts. The tree is symbolising the village square, where the inhabitants held public assemblies for a long time. The roots are symbolising tradition and public spirit.

Siek Municipality

The white flag is bordered by narrow red stripes on the top and bottom edges. In the white stripe shifted to the hoist is the municipal coat of arms.

Siek Municipal Coat of Arms

In a red shield is a silver (= white) church. The tower is flanked by three golden (= yellow) ears of grain and a silver (= white) combat swan, wearing a golden (= yellow) coronet around the middle of his neck.
Meaning:
The local church is the landmark of Siek. The image shows the western facade. The swan is symbolising Stormarn, the current county and the historical shire. The ears are symbolising the rural character, especially in Meilsdorf, which belongs to Siek since 1973. The colours are those of Holstein and Stormarn as well.

Stapelfeld Municipality

Description of flag:
It is a red over white over red horizontal triband. The broader white stripe is cotized blue - white. In the middle of the white stripe is a blue covered waggon.
Meaning:
The white stripe and the wagon are symbolising nowadays federal road B430 from Hamburg to Lübeck, which had been an important road for trading and military purposes since the middle ages. The colours are those of Schleswig-Holstein.

The flag was approved on 6 June 1985. The coat of arms was approved on 17 July 1979. The artist is Walter Lauenstein from Hollern.
