Kämpfelbach Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a bend sinister Gules, charged with two fleur-de-lis Or.
Meaning:
Ersingen and Bilfingen had merged on 1 July 1974, forming the new Kämpfelbach municipality. Both municipalities had formed a village and a subcounty (Amt) of Frauenalb Monastery under the sovereignty of Baden until 1802.The bend sinister is representing the name giving Kämpfelbach, a creek, and is also alluding to the Badenian arms. The fleur-de-lis appeared already in the arms of both former municipalities since 1906 and 1907. Their number is symbolising both former municipalities. The former double-municipality used seals displaying two or three fleur-de-lis on seals from the 18th century and on boundary stones since the 16th century. The fleur-de-lis are considered to be "Frauenalb-lilies", taken from the family arms of the abbess Katharina of Remchingen, who died in 1554. The monastery had no proper arms.
