SG Fintel Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The silver (= white) shield is divided by two blue bars wavy. Three green discs ordered per fess are between the two bars. To more discs also ordered per fess are in the base.
Meaning:
The wavy bars are symbolizing the two little rivers Wümme and Fintau. Each disc is representing one of the municipalities belonging to Fintel. Those are Fintel proper, Helvesiek, Lauenbrück (seat of the comprehensive municipality), Stemmen and Vahlde.

Fintel Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is quarterly divided into silver (= white) (quarters 1 and 4) and red (quarters 2 and 3). The centre is superimposed by a tiny, black cross patty. The first field displays a red silhouette of a crow. The second field displays a bendy silver (= white) oak leaf. The other quarters display shelves crossed per saltire with horseheads on their tops in counterchanged colours.
Meaning:
The quarters are probably symbolizing agiculture (bottom) and nature (top). The horseheads are typical elements on top of the gables of Lower Saxonian farmhouses. The crow probably is symbolizing the Krähenberg , i.e. crows' hill. The oak leaf maybe symbolize a local nature reserve in the upper Fintau valley. The little cross is either symbolizing the local church of Antonians or the Bishopric of Verden, to which the church belonged.

Lauenbrück Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms: The golden (= yellow) shield has a blue base. A blue, passant lion, armed and tongued red is crossing a wooden bridge (black and silver (= white). He is holding a black and silver (= white) cross fitchy in his right forepaw. Meaning: Blue and golden are the colours of the Welfen kin. Also the blue lion is alluding to that family (I don't know which of the numerous branch lines). The cross is alluding to the Bishopric of Verden. The bridge is a canting element. The blue base maybe symbolize the confluence of Wümme and Fintau in Lauenbrück.
Source: I spotted these arms on a plate in front of the local town hall on 25 November 2013
