It is a plain white flag with centred arms.

Hassendorf Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
Shield Argent, an H-shaped baulk of bricks Gules masoned Sable, accompanied in chief by an acorn Azure and in base by a shepherd's shovel Azure.
Meaning:
The baulk is symbolising the former local brickyard. Its shape is the initial of the municipality. The acorn is symbolising local forests. The shovel is symbolising sheep breeding. The colours red and white are taken from the arms of Lower Saxony. The additional blue colour is alluding to the French engineers, who built a highroad, which is today German Federal Road B 75.

Horstedt Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
Shield Vert; issuant from base a pile Or, charged with a church Gules and Azure with a belfry Argent, in dexter chief a stack of wood Or, in sinister chief an angle iron Or.
Meaning:
The church is displaying the local parish church and representing Horstedt proper. The stack (German: Stapel) is representing Stapel village. The angle (German: Winkel) is representing Winkeldorf village.

Description of flag:
It is a red-white-red horizontal triband with ratio of stripes approx. 1:2:1. The coat of arms is shifted to the hoist. According to the local Hauptsatzung, version 11 June 1997, the municipality has just colours red-white-red.

Description of flag:
It is more or less the current flag. Its ratio however had been 2:3. The dragon had been yellow and the lance black.

It is a red-white-red vertical triband with ratio of stripes approx. 1:3:1. The coat of arms is shifted to the top and within the central stripe. The arms are the same like tose in the proposed flag.

Sottrum Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
Shield Gules, St. George Or, mounted on a sinister-facing prancing horse Argent, killing a dragon Vert by a lance Or, canton Argent charged with a cross patty fitchy Sable.
Meaning:
The canton is alluding to the Bishopric of Verden, to which the municipality historically belonged. St.George is the local patron saint.
