Rednitzhembach Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Sable a demi-millwheel issuant Argent, beneath parted per pale of Argent and Gules and charged with a fess wavy Azure.
Meaning:
The fess wavy is a representation of the name giving Rednitz River. The millwheel is alluding to the economic importance of watermills in the past. The tinctures black and white had been those of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach. The area belonged to their predecessors, the Burgraves of Nürnberg since 1364. The tinctures white and red in pale are taken from the arms of the Zollner of Brand kin and the Behaim of Schwabach kin, two patrician families, originated in Nürnberg. Both owned large estates in the village. The latter succeded the former in 1603.
