It is a blue-yellow-blue vertical triband with ratio of stripes approx. 1:4:1. The coat of arms is shifted to the top and within the central stripe.

Coat of Arms

Shield parted per bend sinister; above right Azure an upper demi-lion Or, armed and tongued Gules and accompanied by three billets Or; beneath left Or a lower demi-lion Gules armed Azure.
Meaning:
Both demi-lions are connected to form one complete lion. The upper half is taken from the arms of the Counts of Nassau, the lower half from the arms of the Counts of Katzenelnbogen, both being former rulers. Blue and yellow had been the colours of Nassau.

Breithardt Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a patriarchal cross Sable (the crosslet Argent within is not mentioned in blazon), in base superimposed by an inescutcheon Azure, charged with a demi-lion issuant Or, armed and tongued Gules.
Meaning:
The inescutcheon displays a modification of the arms of the Counts of Nassau, the former rulers. Blue and yellow had been the colours of Nassau.
The coat of arms was approved on 20 March 1968, when Briethardt had been an independent municipality in former Untertaunus County.
