Cycling towards the Danish-German border, I saw the flag of Eggebek: banner-of-arms as shown in this website, except that I am not sure the brook (bek) wasn't placed a bit higher in the flag.

Eggebek Municipal Coat of Arms

In a golden (=yellow) field is a green, rooted oak tree, fruited silver (= white) (in flag: yellow). The tree is superimposing a blue fess wavy, which divides the base.
Meaning:
The arms are canting (oak near a creek). The colours are symbolizing the rural environment.

Janneby Municipal Coat of Arms

The shield is divided per bend sinister wavy. Above right in a golden (= yellow) field is a green branch of oak consisting of a leaf and two acorns. Below left in a green field is a golden (= yellow) kingcup. The shield has a narrow chief four times divided per pale into red and silver (= white).
Meaning:
The colours are symbolizing the the parts of the local landscape. Moraines (yellow) in the Northwest and marshes (green) in the Southeast. Both acorns are symbolizing the villages of Janneby and Jannebyfeld. The flower is symbolizing the swamps, where peat was digged in the past.The chief is symbolizing a toll bar, which stood in the village of Süderzollhaus.

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per bend sinister. Above right in a blue field is a silver (= white) anvil. Below in a golden (= yellow) field is a green branch of oak consisting of four leaves and one infructescence.
Meaning:
Blue and yellow are the colours of the duchy of Schleswig. The anvil symbolizes early iron mongeries in the villages and the oaks from the nearby woods and swamps supplied the mongeries with the necessary energy.

Jörl Municipal Coat of Arms

In a golden (= yellow) field is a threefold green branch of juniper bearing seven black berries.
Meaning:
The nature protection area of Rimmelsberg is part of the municipality. Here you can find the most juniper bushes of various kinds in Schleswig-Holstein. The berries are symbolizing the seven settlement cores of the municipality. Those are: Rupel, Stieglund, Südermoor, Gro?jörl, Kleinjörl, Paulsgabe and Rimmelsberg.

Langstedt Municipal Coat of Arms

In a golden shield is a black millrind flanked by two green leaves of elm tree.
Meaning:
Both objects can be found in the direct neighbourhood. The very special millrind belongs to a local house, which was built in 1910.

Wanderup Municipal Coat of Arms

The shield is divided per fess. Above in a golden (= yellow) field is a Holstein cow in natural colour, i.e. black and white (German: schwarzbunt). Below in a green field is a golden (= yellow) chain having eight links.
Meaning:
In the 20th century Wanderup became a centre of cattle breeding. The cow is a typical example of a Holstein cow. The chain is symbolizing the numerous agricultural partnerships. The colours are symbolizing the rural environment. The cow had already been approved by British Military Government in 1946.
