Dranske Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess wavy, above Argent a blackthorn branch sable in bend sinister with six leaves Vert and four sloes Azure, beneath Azure a sailing ship Argent having two masts and five sails.
Meaning:
The name of the municipality is derived from the Slavic word Dransky (= stick), represented by the blackthorn. The vessel is the mail ship POSTHORNETT, alluding to the fact that there had been a mail line from Dranske to Swedish Ystad since 1684. The way line is alluding to the location of the municipality on the shores of the Baltic.

Glowe Municipality

It is a vertically divided tricolour from hoist to fly into green, yellow and blue. The ratio between stripes is estimated 1:3:1. In the centre of the yellow field is the coat of arms.

Shield parted by a fess embattled Gules, above Vert a chevron Argent superimposed by a counts cornet Or, beneath Azure a steering wheel Or.
Meaning:
The fess embattled is representing Spyker Castle, which was built in the 2nd half of the 16th century and reconstructed by the Swedish Governor General Carl Gustav Wrangel (1613 - 1676) between 1650 and 1655. It is also a differentiation of the family arms of Wrangel as Count of Salmis, having a black embattled fess. Coronet and chevron are representing the Königshörn, a nearby vantage point. Finally the steering wheel is symbolising the location on the shores of the Baltic and the local harbour.

The light blue flag is divided by two vertical white stripes with ratio altogether 1:1:6:1:1. In the centre are the charges of the local coat of arms.

Lohme Coat of Arms

In a blue field is a silver (=white) swan with spread out wings, armed golden (=yellow), standing on a grey stone. Note that the grey stone in fact is white.
Meaning:
The stone in the arms is representing a special attraction, a granite stone, being polished for thousands of years by ice and waves and lying on the beach of Lohme. The stone is a real heavyweight, having estimated 162 metric tons. The stone is called the swan's stone. The swan is also alluding to the many swans on the local creeks and ponds. The tinctures blue and white are alluding to the Baltic and the chalk rocks of Jasmund Peninsula. Furthermore they are taken from the arms of the Lords of Jasmund, local rulers from the 15th to the 17th century.

Sagard Coat of Arms

Shield parted per chevron abased, above Azure an odeon Argent flanked by two embowed grain ears Or, beneath Or three crowns Azure ordered 1:2.
Meaning:
The grain is symbolising agriculture. The odeon had been built upon a fountain and is reminding on the local spa. The crowns had been the trade mark of Kreidewerk Rügen, a producer of Paris white, which is used for tooth paste and in spas.

Wiek Coat of Arms

Shield iparted per fess, above Gules a beehive Or superimposing two flails of the same in saltire, beneath Or a viking ship Azure.
Meaning:
The beehive is alluding to the former Slavic name Medov (=honey). The flails are symbolising agriculture in the past and nowadays. The viking ship is symbolising the presence of vikings in the past and the importance of sailing nowadays.
