Nennslingen Coat of Arms

Shield parted by an embattled wall Or masoned Sable, water of Azure and Argent pouring down from its open port; in chief parted per pale, at dexter Sable a fess Argent, at sinister parted per fess of Sable and Argent.
Meaning:
The village gained the rights of a market town in 1532, granted by Emperor Karl V. By request of Konrad Ehenheim and the Schenk of Geyern Brothers a coat of arms was granted in 1582. The arms of the former are in dexter chief, those of the latter in sinister chief. The wall, described as earth-coloured in the grant and the water are a representation of the Ursprung Fountain (meaning: origin fountain), from which the little river Anlauter is originated. The colour of the wall was painted as red by Otto Hupp (1925) and Klemens Stadler (1968).
