The flag of Trebujena, adopted on 30 January 1994 by the Municipal Council and validated on 16 May 1996 by the Royal Academy of Cordóba, is prescribed by Decree No. 352, adopted on 16 July 1996 by the Government of Andalusia and published on 17 August 1996 in the official gazette of Andalusia, No. 94, p. 10,074 (text). This was confirmed by a Decree adopted on 30 November 2004 by the Government of Andalusia and published on 20 December 2004 in the official gazette of Andalusia, No. 246, pp. 28,986-29,002 (text).

The flag is described as follows:
Flag: Red panel, flag of 10 units in length on 7 units in height. In the middle of the flag is placed the coat of arms adopted in 1970, surmounted with the crown of the time and surrounded by a ring of eight grapevine leaves.
The flag in use is dark red, without the ring of leaves around the shield.
The coat of arms of Trebujena is prescribed by Decree No. 1,596, adopted on 29 May 1970 by the Spanish government and published on 15 June 1970 in the Spanish official gazette, No. 142, p. 9,394 (text).
The "rehabilitated" coat of arms "of traditional use", validated by the Royal Academy of History, is described as follows:
Coat of arms: Or a tree vert on a base of the same ensigned by a dove argent. The shield surmounted with a Ducal coronet.
The tree repesents the fertile local fields. The dove (paloma) alludes to the Roman rule and to the dedication of the town to Our Lady of Palomares.
