Local Council Pardesiyya (meaning God's citrus plant)
is situated in the Sharon region, 3 km south of the Sharon
crossroads (Bet Lid Junction) and 5 km east of Netanya . It was founded in 1940, Local
Council since 1952 and has 5,000 inh.
When I visited it, the city hall was under construction with no
flags and no-one to ask about the municipal emblem. In the
entrance to the Local Council there were two flags, one blue with
a white emblem and another one orange with a black emblem. The
municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot,
Yalkut HaPirsumim), YP 1900, 8 March 1973.

According to the municipal
website: "In the emblem appears the water-tower of
Pardesiyya which was the first building that was constructed in
Pardesiyya in 1940. The Tower still exist toady in its primary
shape at the yard of the city hall."
